We are extremely lucky, and very excited, to be able to include Kimchi and Chips as part of this year’s WGTN LUX. This massively talented duo will be presenting at our symposium this weekend and also showing a brand new work – Lit Tree 2013 – as part of our Urban Alive exhibition. Make sure you don’t miss seeing them or their amazing work. Map of the festival coming soon!

Atmospheric Tessellation


Chris Knapp, Jonathan Nelson and Michael Parsons will have a busy week when they arrive next week constructing  Atmospheric Tessellation for WGTN LUX 2013. You can also hear them talking about their architectural work at the LUX symposium next weekend. Get a ticket here.

4,096 LEDs!

With kind permission from the Royal Society New Zealand, Squidsoup will be showing Volume 4,096 as part of WGN LUX 2013. 4,096 individually controlled LEDs hanging 7 metres up in the air. A must see! Free Beauties


Central Otago artist Kristin O’Sullivan Peren will be showing Free Beauties in Te Aro Park as part of WGTN LUX 2013. Measuring a little under 4 metres in length these beautiful sculptures are going to be truly mesmerising.

Rachael Rakena


We are extremely lucky to be able to add the very talented Rachael Rakena to our symposium line up. Rachael will also be showing new work as part of WGTN LUX’s Urban Alive exhibition. Don’t miss an opportunity to hear her speaking, register here for your symposium ticket.
